Earth Baby Outfitters was founded by Sharon Thomson in 2014. She was inspired to create this company after the birth of her son, Jaxon. As a mom, she realized how expensive organic baby clothes could be and wanted to make them more accessible while also creating eco-friendly options that were better for the environment.
Sharon Thomson had a long career in the fashion industry as a designer and pattern maker. So when her son was born and she found herself looking for organic baby clothes, she was disappointed by the lack of quality and transparency in the industry. She realized that brands were not being upfront about the materials they were using, which often included toxic dyes and harmful manufacturing practices.
So..., she took on the mantle.
Beyond our commitment to providing safe and sustainable products, we are also committed to making a positive difference in the world through social responsibility.
The average clothing brand will dispose of 30% of unsold product via landfill or by incineration each year. Since opening our doors in 2014, all of our unsold stock has been donated to
- Local non-profit organizations
- Orphanages in China and Haiti
- Children in Need
We also partner with One Tree Planted so that for every order purchased, a tree is planted by us!
